Purpose

10th Circle is a site dedicated to reviewing horror films and related genres. We strive to give our most honest and objective take on every film we review while revealing as little about it as possible. Our gaze lingers with particular appetite on independent and international cinema, mid-budget productions, and the horror pieces that prestige criticism tends to overlook.

Author

Dante Yurei: A horror-cinema devotee who has been exposed to the genre since long before he was old enough to watch it. From his chambers in the 10th Circle, he dismembers horror films for his enjoyment. Principally responsible for keeping things running smoothly in these parts. Two new reviews emerge from the 10th Circle each week.

Review format

Every main review is spoiler-free. When a film warrants it, an "Ending Explained" section is included — a detailed analysis of the ending, clearly marked for those who wish to avoid it.
